The kill switch on my blower died and I had to turn the choke on in order to stop the engine. New switches were only $12 on eBay. They looked so simple that I thought it best to pull it apart first and see what was going on. Good thing I did. Turned out to be a broken wire back at the engine.
Time to troubleshoot and repair: Approx 30 minutes.

Thanks so much for this video. My BR 380 blower quit shutting off about a month ago and I was getting really tired of choking it to shut it off. I did not want to pay a minimum of $75 to run it through my local shops. I took the cover and starter cord assembly off and found the wire right away. Mine was not broken, it had just vibrated completed off the tab. I got a pair of needle nose pliers and shove it back on and crimped it a bit to prevent future occurrence and fired it up and it shut off properly with the switch!
Thanks Again. I especially appreciated the last 60 seconds where you showed specifics of how to get to the root of the problem area.
