We came across a press release the other day outlining how the Stihl battery powered tools grew 10X in just 15 months in the USA.
In nearly the same period, the Stihl battery platform tripled in size, going from 1 line to 3 lines of tools. This is pretty impressive in the wake of Amazon outdoor power equipment sales climbing like mad.
Stihl remains a brick and mortar-only retailer. They have 9,000 dealers which are fed from just 11 distributors. Six of these are owned by Stihl and five are independent.
